The Single Common Market Organisation (Consequential Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014
Coming into operation
21st March 2014
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is designated() for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972() in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Union.
These Regulations make provision for a purpose mentioned in section 2(2) of the 1972 Act. It appears to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development that it is expedient for references in these Regulations to the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council adopted on 16 December 2013 establishing a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products and repealing Council Regulations (EEC) No 922/72, (EEC) No 234/79, (EC) No 1037/2001 and (EC) No 1234/2007, to be construed as references to that Regulation, as amended from time to time().
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 2(2) of, and paragraph 1A of Schedule 2 to, the European Communities Act 1972().
