The Department of Education, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 (2) of the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014 (1), makes the following Order:
Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the Education (2014 Act) (Commencement No.1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.
Appointed day
2. The following provisions of the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014 shall come into operation on 1 April 2015, that is to say—
(a)Section 3(1);
(b)Section 5(1) and (2) and Schedules 3 and 4.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into operation the Sections and Schedules of the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014 which dissolve the former Education and Library Boards and commence the associated amendments and repeals.
