The Pension Schemes Act 2021 (Commencement No. 6) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022
The Department for Communities makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 131(2) and (4) of the Pension Schemes Act 2021().

1. This Order may be cited as the Pension Schemes Act 2021 (Commencement No. 6) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022.

2. The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 120 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Pension Schemes Act 2021 (pensions dashboards: Northern Ireland), in so far as they are not already in operation(), is 31st October 2022.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Order brings into operation section 120 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Pension Schemes Act 2021, in so far as they are not already in operation, on 31st October 2022.
Schedule 9 to the Pension Schemes Act 2021 (pensions dashboards: Northern Ireland)—
inserts Articles 215A (qualifying pensions dashboard service), 215B (qualifying pension dashboard service: further provision) and 215C (Articles 215A and 215B: interpretation) into the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/255 (N.I. 1)) (“the 2005 Order”) which, amongst other things, confer powers on the Department for Communities to make regulations to support the provision of pensions information to individuals by means of a pensions dashboard service;
inserts Articles 215D (information from occupational pension schemes), 215E (information from occupational pension schemes: further provision), 215F (Articles 215D and 215E: interpretation) and 215G (compliance) into the 2005 Order to make further provision relating to the giving of pensions information to individuals via certain pensions dashboard services and any pensions dashboard service provided for or on behalf of the Money and Pensions Service;
adds further powers to the list in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the 2005 Order (delegation) of the Pensions Regulator’s powers in relation to which the Department for Communities can make regulations.
NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS
The following provisions of the Pension Schemes Act 2021 have been brought into operation by earlier commencement orders as from the dates shown.
