6.—(1) Paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 is amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3)—
(2) (a) Omit sub-paragraph (1)(d);
(b)For sub-paragraph (1)(e) substitute—
“(e)sealed transit bags”;
(c)Omit sub-paragraphs (1)(g) to (1)(j);
(d)In sub-paragraph (1)(l), for “of not less than 20 pence each” substitute “greater than £5 each”;
(e)After sub-paragraph (1)(n) insert—
“(o)bags which—
(i)are made of any material;
(ii)have maximum dimensions of 125mm (width) x 155mm (height);
(iii)have a gusset of less than 50mm; and
(iv)have no handle.”
(3) In sub-paragraph (3)—
(a)after the definition of “prescription only medicine” insert—
““sealed transit bags” means bags which are intended to be used to carry alcohol or tobacco purchased in an area designated by the Secretary of State as a security restricted area under section 11A of the Aviation Security Act 1982 and which are sealed after the item is placed therein”(1);
(b)in the definition of “supplementary prescriber”, “nurse independent prescriber”, “optometrist independent prescriber” and “pharmacist independent prescriber” for “article 1(2) of the Prescription Only Medicines (Human Use) Order 1997” substitute “regulation 8(1) of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012”(2).
