(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the National Health Service (Functions of the Common Services Agency) (Scotland) Order 1974 (“the principal Order”).
Article 2 of this Order deletes sub-paragraph (n) from article 3 of the principal Order. That sub-paragraph was inserted in the principal Order by the National Health Service (Functions of the Common Services Agency) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2000. It delegated to the Common Services Agency the function of the Scottish Ministers in relation to the provision of research and development services in the field of public health. The deletion of that sub-paragraph withdraws that function from the Agency.
1978 c. 29; the functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46).
Sub-paragraph (n) was added by S.S.I. 2000/224.
