The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(2) of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2016 and comes into force on 1st April 2016.
2. 1st April 2016 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 32 (deemed contracts) of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (in so far as that section is not already in force).

This Order brings into force, on 1st April 2016, section 32 (which makes provision in relation to deemed contracts) of the Water Resources (Scotland) Act 2013 (“the Act”).
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 9th April 2013. Section 56 of the Act brought into force Part 8 (except section 53 and schedule 4) on the day after Royal Assent.
