The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 117 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 117 of that Act they have consulted the Natural Environment Research Council.
1. This Order may be cited as the Protection of Seals (Designation of Haul-Out Sites) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2017 and comes into force on 4th May 2017.
2. The schedule of the Protection of Seals (Designation of Haul-Out Sites) (Scotland) Order 2014(2) is amended by inserting after the entry for “Inchmickery and Cow and Calves” the following entry—

This Order amends the Protection of Seals (Designation of Haul-Out Sites) (Scotland) Order 2014 (“the principal Order”) to designate an additional place as a seal haul-out site for the purposes of section 117 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010. Article 2 amends the schedule of the principal Order to describe areas of land above mean low water spring tide that fall within the areas of water and land adjacent to the mouth of the River Ythan.
