The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 60(2) and (3) of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Scotland) Act (Actual Dates) Regulations 2019 and come into force on 18 December 2019.
2.—(1) The Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997(2) is amended in accordance with this regulation.
(2) In section 275B(2)(b) (directions), for “the day that section 49 of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 comes into force” substitute “1 December 2019”.
3.—(1) The Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 is amended in accordance with this regulation.
(2) In section 58(1) (lapsing of power to provide for levy), for “the day that the Bill for this Act receives Royal Assent” substitute “25 July 2019”.

These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (“the 1997 Act”) and the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (“the 2019 Act”) to change descriptions of dates to actual dates.
Regulation 2 amends section 275B(2)(b) of the 1997 Act to change the date described in relation to the coming into force of section 49 of the 2019 Act to the actual date.
Regulation 3 amends section 58(1) of the 2019 Act to change the date described by reference to the date on which Bill for the 2019 Act received Royal Assent to the actual date.
The Bill for the 2019 Act received Royal Assent on 25 July 2019. Section 60 came into force on the following day. Section 49 of the 2019 Act, inserting section 275B(2)(b) into the 1997 Act, was commenced by the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2019 on 1 December 2019.
