The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12(3)(b) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 M1 and section 9(3)(b) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Act 2020 M2, and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 12(6) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 and section 9(6) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Act 2020 the Scottish Ministers have laid before the Scottish Parliament a statement of reasons as to why this instrument should be made.
In accordance with section 12(5) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 and section 9(5) of the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Act 2020, a draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by resolution of, the Scottish Parliament.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Coronavirus (Scotland) Acts (Amendment of Expiry Dates) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 30 March 2021.

2.—(1) The Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 is amended as follows.
(2) In section 12(1) M3 (expiry) for “31 March 2021” substitute “ 30 September 2021 ”.

These Regulations amend the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 (the “first Act”) and the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Act 2020 (the “second Act”).
Part 1 of the first Act and Part 1 of the second Act expire on 31 March 2021. The Coronavirus (Scotland) Acts (Amendment of Expiry Dates) Regulations 2020 amended the expiry date of Part 1 of the first Act and Part 1 of the second Act to 31 March 2021.
These Regulations further amend those Acts so that Part 1 of the first Act and Part 1 of the second Act now expire on 30 September 2021.
