The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(2) of the Consumer Scotland Act 2020(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Consumer Scotland Act 2020 (Commencement) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 1 April 2022.
2. 1 April 2022 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the Consumer Scotland Act 2020, so far as not already in force.

The Bill for the Consumer Scotland Act 2020 (“the Act”) received Royal Assent on 9 June 2020. Sections 25 to 27, 29 and 30 came into force on the following day. These Regulations bring the remaining provisions of the Act into force on 1 April 2022.
