The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the United Kingdom Internal Market Act 2020(1) (“the 2020 Act”), makes the following Regulations.
In accordance with section 10(7) and (9) of the 2020 Act, the Secretary of State has—
(a)had regard to the importance of facilitating the access to the market within Great Britain of qualifying Northern Ireland goods; and
(b)sought the consent of the Scottish Ministers, the Welsh Ministers and the Department for the Economy in Northern Ireland to the making of these Regulations, more than one month before the day on which they are made.
A draft of this instrument was laid before, and approved by resolution of, each House of Parliament in accordance with sections 10(8) and 57(1) of the 2020 Act.
