The Secretary of State has consulted the persons listed in section 24(1) of the Energy Act 2013(1) (the “Act”) and has had regard to the matters in section 5(2) of the Act.
In accordance with section 6(8)(b) of the Act, a draft of this instrument was laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6(1) and (6), 9(1), (6)(b), and (7), 17, 19, 20 and 21(1) of the Act(2), makes the following Regulations:
Sections 6, 17 and 19 of the Act have been amended by section 18 of the Energy Prices Act 2022 (c. 44).
