This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
(1)Where a United Kingdom national—
(a)who is a Convention official, and
(b)who is on a vessel in any part of the area south of the Antarctic Convergence for the purpose of exercising his functions as a Convention official,
does or omits to do anything, and that act or omission would have constituted an offence under the law of any part of the United Kingdom if it had taken place in that part, he shall be guilty of the like offence as if the act or omission had taken place in that part, and shall be liable to be proceeded against and punished accordingly.
(2)In subsection (1) “Convention official” means any person designated as an inspector or observer by a Member of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources under Article XXIV of the Convention.
