The Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulations 1968
Made
18th December 1968
Coming into Operation
1st April 1969
The Registrar General, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1, 3 and 12 of the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1926, paragraph 5 of Schedule 1 to the Industrial Assurance and Friendly Societies Act 1948, sections 35, 55 and 74 of the Marriage Act 1949, sections 1, 5, 7, 9, 11 (as amended by section 2 of the Population (Statistics) Act 1960), 12 to 15, 20 to 24, 26, 29, 33, 39 and 41 of the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953 and sections 6 to 8, 16, 19 and 20 of the Registration Service Act 1953 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Social Services, hereby makes the following regulations:—
