In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 43(6) of the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973, I hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1973.
2. Part III of the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973 shall come into operation on 1st September 1973.

This Order brings Part III of the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973 (Prevention of Religious and Political Discrimination) into force on 1st September 1973.
