In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13(2) of the Bail Act 1976, I hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Bail Act 1976 (Commencement) Order 1978.
2. The Bail Act 1976, so far as it is not already in force, shall come into force on 17th April 1978.

Section 13 of the Bail Act 1976 (short title, commencement, application and extent) came into force on the passing of the Act on 15th November 1976. This Order brings the remainder of the Act into force on 17th April 1978.
