2. For paragraph 7 of Schedule 4 to the Coast Protection Act 1949 (which excludes part of the River Wear for the purposes of the definitions of “sea” and “seashore” in that Act) there shall be substituted the following paragraph, namely—
“7. The River Wear, above a line drawn from the south-eastern corner of the pilot lookout station situated on the old North Pier to the north-western corner of the seaward face of the old South Pier.”.
