The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in relation to England, and the Secretary of State, in relation to Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 8(1), 15(4), 17(1), 23, 25, 28 and 88(2) of the Animals Health Act 1981 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order as follows:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Warble Fly (England and Wales) (Amendment) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 26th March 1985.
2. Article 4 of the Warble Fly (England and Wales) Order 1982 (notification of disease and restrictions on movement) shall be amended as follows—
(a)for sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—
“(a)with all practicable speed give notice of the fact to a veterinary inspector; and”;
and
(b)in paragraphs (4) and (5) for the words “the appropriate veterinary inspector” there shall be substituted the words “a veterinary inspector”.
In Witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 1st March 1985.

This Order amends Article 4 of the Warble Fly (England and Wales) Order 1982 which required the owner or person in charge of cattle or carcases which are infected with warble fly, or which are suspected of being so infected, to give notice of the fact to the veterinary inspector appointed for the time beings by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to receive such information in the area in which the cattle are situated and also required veterinary surgeons and meat inspectors to notify cases of infection and suspected cases of infection in a similar manner. As a result of the amendments made by Article 2 of this Order notification is now required to be given by such persons to a veterinary inspector.
