Body	Excepted employees
A county council, the Greater London Council, the Common Council, a district council, a London borough council, a residuary body.
A joint board or joint committee appointed under any Act or statutory order or statutory scheme, if all the constituent authorities are councils described in the preceding item.
A fire authority constituted by a combination scheme made under the Fire Services Act 1947(1).
A local valuation panel constituted under the General Rate Act 1967(2).
A magistrates' courts committee.	A person who gave notice under the proviso to section 20(1) of the Act of 1937 electing that that Act should not apply to his clerkship.
A police authority or combined police authority.
A probation committee.	A person who gave notice in accordance with Article I of the Probation Officers (Superannuation) Order 1948(3).
A water authority.
The Chichester Harbour Conservancy.
The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.
