In pursuance of section 18(1)(e) and (2) and section 24(2) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(1), I hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Lotteries (Gaming Board Fees) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st April 1987.
2. The fee payable to the Board on an application for the registration of a scheme shall be of such amount as the Board may determine:
Provided that,—
(a)where the total value of the tickets or chances which may lawfully be sold in each lottery under the scheme does not exceed £10,000, the fee shall not exceed £70; and
(b)in any other case, the fee shall not exceed £265.
3. The further fee payable to the Board, where more than one lottery is to be promoted under a scheme registered by the Board, for each lottery promoted under that scheme shall be of such amount as the Board may determine:
Provided that,—
(a)where the total value of the tickets or chances sold in the lottery does not exceed £10,000, the fee shall not exceed £20; and
(b)where the total value of the tickets or chances sold in the lottery exceeds £10,000 but does not exceed £20,000, the fee shall not exceed £40; and
(c)in any other case, the fee shall not exceed £55.
4. The Lotteries (Gaming Board Fees) Order 1983(2) is hereby revoked.

This Order increases the maximum fees which the Gaming Board may, under the provisions of this Order, determine to be payable under paragraph 7(1) of Schedule 2 to the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 in connection with the registration of lottery schemes and with the lotteries promoted under schemes registered by the Board. The maximum fees (which were previously prescribed by the Lotteries (Gaming Board Fees) Order 1983) are increased as follows. The maximum fees prescribed by provisos (a) and (b) of Article 2 are increased from £60 and £240 to £70 and £265, respectively. Those prescribed by provisos (a), (b) and (c) of Article 3 are increased from £18, £36 and £48 to £20, £40 and £55, respectively.
