The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 17(2) and 107(1)(b) of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Orkney Islands Council, hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Orkney Islands Council (Loch of Boardhouse) (Amendment) Water Order 1989 and shall come into force on 18th September 1989.
(2) This Order and the Orkney County Council (Loch of Boardhouse) Water Order 1958(1) (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”) may be cited together as the Orkney Islands Council (Loch of Boardhouse) Water Orders 1958 and 1989.
2. In article 5 of the principal Order for the expression “300,000 gallons” there shall be substituted the expression “2730 cubic metres (600,000 gallons)”.
3. The Orkney Islands Council shall at all times after the expiration of six months from the date on which this Order comes into force keep a copy thereof at the office of the Chief Executive of the Council.
