Under section 15 of that Act, the Secretary of State may designate (either individually or by class or description) employees of the School Examinations Council for automatic transfer to the new Councils. Where an individual is so designated there is no termination of, or change in the terms of, his contract of employment. This Order lists those staff so designated as respects the School Examinations and Assessment Council in addition to those already designated by the School Curriculum Development Committee and Secondary Examinations Council (Designation of Staff) Order 1988 (S.I. 1988/2171).
