The Local Authority Social Services (Designation of Functions) Order 1989

Coming into force
21st February 1989
Whereas a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament in accordance with section 13(3) of the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970(1) and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred by section 2(2) of the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970 hereby makes the following order:–

1970 c. 42; section 13(3) was amended by the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 (c. 65), section 194 and Schedule 34, Part XVI.
