The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in relation to England and the Secretary of State in relation to Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16(1) and (1A)(e) of the Plant Varieties and Seeds Act 1964(1) and now vested in them(2), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, after consultation in accordance with section 16(1) of that Act with representatives of such interests as appear to them to be concerned, hereby make the following Regulations:

Title and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Seed Potatoes (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 11th July 1991.

Amendment

2.  For the Schedule to the Seed Potatoes (Fees) Regulations 1990(3) there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order.

In witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 2nd July 1991.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Seed Potatoes (Fees) Regulations 1990. They prescribe increased fees in respect of certain matters arising under the Seed Potatoes Regulations 1984 (S.I. 1984/412 amended by S.I. 1987/547, 1988/1759) (regulation 2).

The matters in respect of which the revised fees are prescribed are listed in the Schedule to these Regulations, and the fees which were chargeable before these Regulations came into force are printed in parentheses beside the revised fees.
