The Registration of Births and Deaths (Welsh Language) (Amendment) Regulations 1992

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Registration of Births and Deaths (Welsh Language) Regulations 1987 ( “the principal Regulations”).

Regulations 3 and 4 amend respectively Schedules 2 and 3 of the principal Regulations because of the coming into force on 14th October 1991 of paragraph 6 of Schedule 12 to the Children Act 1989. The amendments relate to registration or re-registration of the births of children whose parents are not married to each other. A consequential amendment is made to regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations by regulation 2 of these Regulations.

Regulation 4 also corrects a minor error in Schedule 3 to the principal regulations.

Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio'r Rheoliadau Cofrestru Genedigaethau a Marwolaethau (Yr Iaith Gymraeg) 1987 ( “y prif Reoliadau”).

Mae Rheoliadau 3 a 4 yn diwygio yn eu tro Atodiadau 2 a 3 y prif Reoliadau am fod paragraff 6 Atodiad 12 Children Act 1989 wedi dod i rym ar 14 Hydref 1991. Mae'r diwygiadau'n ymwneud a chofrestru neu ail-gofrestru genedigaethau plant nad yw eu rhieni'n briod a'i gilydd. Yn sgil hyn, mae rheoliad 2 y Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio rheoliad 2 y Prif Reoliadau.

Mae Rheoliad 4 hefyd yn cywiro mân wall yn Atodiad 3 y prif Reoliadau.
