The length of highway becoming a trunk road is the county road C5009 from its junction with the trunk road at Wreaks End in the County of Cumbria passing through Foxfield to its junction with the trunk road at High Cross, a distance of about 4.7 kilometres.
The length of the trunk road ceasing to be trunk road is situated between its junction with the county road C5009 at Wreaks End, at a point 1.8 kilometres south-east of Broughton-in-Furness Square, and its junction with the C5009 at High Cross, at a point 0.5 kilometres west of Broughton-in-Furness Square.
