The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 18(1) and 24 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st May 1992.
(2) This Order shall extend to Scotland only.
2. In section 16(3) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(2) (conditions on which the provision of amusements is permitted at certain commercial entertainments) paragraph (b) shall have effect as if, for the sum of £20 specified in that paragraph, there were substituted the sum of £25.
3. Article 2 of the Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) Order 1988(3), is hereby revoked.

This Order increases from £20 to £25 the maximum amount permitted to be taken by way of the sale of chances in any one determination of winners in amusements provided at certain fairs and other commercial entertainments in Scotland under section 16 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976.
