THE SCHEDULETHE LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (TATTERSHALL BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION) SCHEME 1991

The Lincolnshire County Council (hereinafter referred to as “the County Council”) make this Scheme in exercise of their powers under Section 106 of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers:–

1.  The County Council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the River Witham the bridge specified in the Schedule to this Scheme as part of the highway which they are proposing to construct from a point on the Honington to Louth Road (A153) 170 metres southwest of the western bank of the River Witham to a point on the A153 90 metres north-east of the eastern bank of the River Witham at Tattershall Bridge in the Parishes of Dogdyke in the District of North Kesteven and Tattershall in the District of East Lindsey in the County of Lincoln.

2.  This Scheme may be cited as the Lincolnshire County Council (Tattershall Bridge Reconstruction) Scheme 1991.

THE SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEMEPLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE TATTERSHALL BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION OVER THE RIVER WITHAM

The site and general design of the bridge are shown on the plan numbered B–12195–B02 annexed hereto. Points of Commencement and Termination From a point on the west bank of the river Witham 70 metres north of the existing road bridge, map reference 519605.35 east, 356283.29 north. To a point on the east bank of the river Witham 95 metres north of the existing road bridge, map reference 519661.04 east, 356341.48 north. All on Ordnance Sheet TF1956. Overall Dimensions The bridge will be 13.20 metres wide overall and will carry a 7.3 metres carriageway with a footway 2.5 metres wide on the north-west side and 2.5 metres wide on the south-east side. It will have an overall length of 83 metres. Navigation Span Main centre span of 23 metres and a single span either side of the main centre span of 18 metres each over the River Witham and measured square to the river. Headway 4.65 metres minimum above normal summer retention level which is 1.5 metres above Ordnance Datum Newlyn. Waterway Waterway, minimum width 18.9 metres. Table of modifications: Schedule para 1. “deposited” is deleted. Schedule para 4.

(i)“north-west” replaces “north”

(ii)“south-east” replaces “east”.
