1. This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993, immediately after the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) (No. 2) Order 1992(1) comes fully into force.
2. The District Health Authorities specified in Schedule 1 to this Order are hereby abolished.
3. For each of the districts determined by the National Health Service (Determination of Districts) Order 1993(2) and specified in column (1) of Schedule 2 to this Order there is established a District Health Authority which shall be known by the name specified in column (2) of that Schedule in relation to that district.
4. In consequence of articles 2 and 3 of this Order, for Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990(3) there shall be substituted the new Schedule 1 set out in Schedule 3 to this Order.
