The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(7) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1974(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Sterling Equivalents) (Revocation) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 22nd November 1994.
2. The Merchant Shipping (Sterling Equivalents) (Merchant Shipping Act 1974) Order 1989(2) is hereby revoked.

The Order revokes the Merchant Shipping (Sterling Equivalents) (Merchant Shipping Act 1974) Order 1989, as a consequence of the coming into force on 22nd November 1994 of the Protocol dated 19th November 1976 (Cmnd. 7029) to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage 1971.
