The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1995 and shall come into force on the following dates—
(a)articles 3(b) and 4(b) on 27th October 1995;
(b)the rest of the Order on 29th September 1995.
2. In this Order, “the 1983 Order” means the Civil Courts Order 1983(2), and a Schedule referred to by number alone means the Schedule so numbered in that Order.
3. In Schedule 1—
(a)“Wisbech” shall be deleted from its position in the second column opposite the entry for “King’s Lynn” in the first column;
(b)“Market Drayton” shall be deleted from its position in the second column opposite the entry for “Shrewsbury” in the first column.
4. In Schedule 3—
(a)The entry relating to “Wisbech” shall be deleted;
(b)the entry relating to “Market Drayton” shall be deleted(3).

This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as close the County Courts at Wisbech and Market Drayton.
Directions given on behalf of the Lord Chancellor under section 2(3) of the County Courts Act 1984 will determine which court districts will include the former districts of Wisbech and Market Drayton County Courts with effect from the date on which this Order comes into force.
