The Toys (Safety) Regulations 1995

Whereas the Secretary of State has, in accordance with section 11(5) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987(), consulted such organisations as appear to him to be representative of interests substantially affected by these Regulations and such other persons as he considers appropriate:
And whereas the Secretary of State is a Minister designated() for the purposes of section 2 of the European Communities Act 1972() in relation to measures relating to consumer protection:
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 11 of the said Act of 1987, read with article 6 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 (Commencement No.1) Order 1987(), and by section 2(2) of the said Act of 1972 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Regulations:—
