The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1(1) and 6(1) of the Government Trading Funds Act 1973(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following order:—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Buying Agency Trading Fund (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 8th May 1996.
2. In Article 4 of the Buying Agency Trading Fund Order 1991(2) for “the Secretary of State” substitute “the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.”

This Order amends the Buying Agency Trading Fund Order 1991 by substituting in Article 4 a reference to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster for the reference to the Secretary of State. The Order is consequential upon the transfer of the Buying Agency from the Department of the Environment to the Office of Public Service.
1973 c. 63; the 1973 Act was amended by the Government Trading Act 1990 (c. 30) and the 1973 Act as so amended is set out in Schedule 1 to the 1990 Act; section 2 was further amended by section 119 of the Finance Act 1991 (c. 31) and by section 210 of, and Schedule 22 to, the Finance Act 1993 (c. 34) which amendments are not relevant to this order.
