The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 35(1), 36 and 40 of the Jobseekers Act 1995(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, by this instrument which is made before the end of the period of 6 months beginning with the coming into force of the enactment under which these Regulations are made(2), and with the consent of the Treasury to regulation 24(3), hereby makes the following Regulations:
1995 c. 18; section 35(1) is an interpretation provision and is cited because of the meaning assigned to the words “prescribed” and “regulations”.
