The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 11(1) and (4), 15(1) and (2), 86(1) and 94(1) of the Weights and Measures Act 1985(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Department of Trade and Industry
2nd December 1996
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the definition of “limiting quality level (LQ5)” in paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Measuring Equipment (Measures of Length) Regulations 1986 (S.I 1986/1682), which was inserted by the Measuring Equipment (Measures of Length) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/2636), by substituting a reference to “5 per cent” for the incorrect reference to “95 per cent” in the Schedule as set out in the 1996 Regulations.
S.I. 1986/1682, as amended by S.I.s 1986/2109, 1994/1851 and 1996/2636; Schedule 2 was inserted by regulation 2(4) of S.I. 1996/2636.
