1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) (No. 2) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 27th February 1997.
2. Employment by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales is hereby added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 with effect from 1st April 1996.

This Order adds employment by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 so that section 1 of that Act (under which the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme, the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme and the Civil Service Compensation Scheme have been made) may apply to it.
Provision for the establishment of the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales was made by section 53 of the Local Government Act 1972 (c. 70) and Schedule 8 thereto.
Under the power conferred by section 1(8)(a) of the Superannuation Act 1972 the Order takes effect from 1st April 1996.
See article 2(1)(c) of the Transfer of Functions (Minister for the Civil Service and Treasury) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/1670) and article 3 of the Transfer of Functions (Treasury and Minister for the Civil Service) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/269).
