The A205 Trunk Road (Perry Vale and Waldram Crescent, Lewisham) Red Route (Prohibited Turns) Traffic Order 1997

The Traffic Director for London, following a direction given to him by the Secretary of State under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991(1) and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(2), and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:—

Commencement and citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the A205 Trunk Road (Perry Vale and Waldram Crescent, Lewisham) Red Route (Prohibited Turns) Traffic Order 1997, and shall come into force on 1st January 1998.

Interpretation

2.  In this Order causing includes permitting; and cause shall be construed accordingly.

Prohibited Turns

3.  No person causing any vehicle to proceed in Perry Vale in the London Borough of Lewisham, shall cause that vehicle to turn left into Waldram Crescent.

4.  No person causing any vehicle to proceed in Waldram Crescent in the London Borough of Lewisham, shall cause that vehicle to turn right into Perry Vale.

Exemption

5.  Nothing in Articles 3 or 4 of this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable or a traffic warden, in uniform.
