The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph 7(9)(c) and (10) of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Limit in Relation to Provision of Digital Programme Services Order 1998 and shall come into force on 14th November 1998.
2. Paragraph 7 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 shall be amended as follows:–
(a)in sub-paragraph (7)(b) the number “24” shall be substituted by the number “40” and the number “4” shall be substituted by the number “10”;
(b)in sub-paragraph (7)(c) the number “24” shall be substituted by the number “40”.

This Order amends the limit in relation to provision of digital programme services detailed in paragraph 7 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 by substituting different numbers for certain of the numbers for the time being specified in sub-paragraph (7).
1990 c. 42. Paragraph 7 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 was substituted by paragraph 10 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1996 (c. 55).
