Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Commencement No. 2 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1998 by substituting, for the provision that sections 25 to 27 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 shall come into force on 1st December 1998, a provision that section 26 shall come into force on that date for the purpose of making regulations under section 60A of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (which is inserted by that section).
