This Order brings into force certain provisions of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 and appoints the day for the reconstitution of the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority as the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority.
Article 2 appoints 3rd July 2000 as the reconstitution day.
Article 4 brings into force provisions of the Act relating to the constitution, membership and proceedings of the reconstituted Authority on 3rd July 2000. Article 3 brings into force certain provisions of the Act on 1st May 2000 for the purpose only of nominating or appointing the first members of the reconstituted Authority.
Article 4 also brings into force various consequential amendments and repeals.
