ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 18) (Scotland) Order 2000
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 125(3) of the Environment Act 1995(), hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and extent
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Environment Act 1995 (Commencement No. 18) (Scotland) Order 2000.
(2) This Order extends to Scotland only.
Provision coming into force on 14th July 2000
2. Section 57 of the Environment Act 1995, in so far as not already in force, shall come into force on 14th July 2000.

Explanatory Note
This Order, which extends to Scotland only, brings into force on 14th July 2000 section 57 of the Environment Act 1995 (c. 25) in relation to the insertion of section 78S (exclusion from registers of information affecting national security) of the Environment Protection Act 1990 (c. 43). The other provisions inserted by section 57 of the Environment Act 1995 were brought into force for Scotland by S.S.I. 2000/180.
Note as to Earlier Commencement Orders
The following provisions of the Environment Act 1995 have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order.
