Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Utilities Act 2000 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2000 (“the No. 4 Order”) by providing a definition of “electricity supplier” in relation to certain provisions of Schedule 4 to the Utilities Act 2000. Those provisions, with transitional modifications, were commenced by the No. 4 Order to provide for deemed contracts to exist in certain instances. The amendments made by this Order clarify those instances.
