The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 60 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it(2), hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employment Zones (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 13th August 2001.
2. The Schedule to the Employment Zones Regulations 2000(3) shall be amended as follows—
(a)in relation to the employment zone of Brighton and Hove, after “the non-metropolitan district of Hove” there shall be added “and the district of Adur”.
(b)in relation to the employment zone of Plymouth, after “The non-metropolitan district of Plymouth” there shall be added “and the districts of Caradon, South Hams and West Devon”.

These Regulations further amend the Schedule to the Employment Zones Regulations 2000 by adding, to the Brighton and Hove employment zone, the district of Adur, and, to the Plymouth employment zone, the districts of Caradon, South Hams and West Devon.
These Regulations do not impose a charge on business.
See sections 170(5) and 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 (c. 5); section 170(5) was amended by paragraph 81 of Schedule 12 to the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999.
