The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 37A(4) and (5)(b) of the Criminal Justice Act 1991(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Curfew Condition (Responsible Officer) (Amendment) Order 2001 and shall come into force at 7.00 p.m. on 1st October 2001.
2.—(1) In article 5 of the Curfew Condition (Responsible Officer) Order 1999(2), for the text from “GSSC” to the end there is substituted “Reliance Secure Task Management Limited of Boundary House, Cricketfield Road, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB8 1QG”.
(2) In the heading to Schedule 3 to that Order, for “GSSC OF EUROPE LIMITED” there is substituted “RELIANCE SECURE TASK MANAGEMENT LIMITED”.

This Order amends the descriptions of persons who are to be made responsible, by a curfew condition included in the licence of a short-term prisoner released under section 34A(3) of the Criminal Justice Act 1991, for monitoring a released person’s whereabouts during the curfew periods. Employees of GSSC of Europe Limited are replaced by employees of Reliance Secure Task Management Limited in the areas in which GSSC of Europe Limited formerly operated.
