36.—(1) In section 44(1)(1) (interpretation)—
(a)omit the definitions of “article”, “artistic work”, “corresponding design” and “set of articles”;
(b)in the definition of “design”, for “section 1(1)” substitute “section 1(2)”;
(c)at the appropriate places insert—
““complex product” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(3) of this Act;”;
““national unregistered design right” means design right within the meaning of the Design Right Act 1991 (an Act of Tynwald)(2);”;
““product” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(3) of this Act;”.
(2) After section 44(1) insert—
“(1A) References in this section to the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 are to that Act as it has effect in England and Wales.”
(3) Omit section 44(2) and (3).
(4) In section 44(4) for the words from “section”, where it first appears, to “Act” substitute “section 14 of this Act”.
Section 44 was amended by the 1988 Act Schedule 3 paragraph 31.
