2.—(1) The day appointed for the coming into force of—
(a)paragraph 5 of Schedule 2 (interim arrangements) so far as not already in force, and section 18 (miscellaneous amendments) so far as relating to it;
(b)Part I of Schedule 13 (pensions: miscellaneous) in respect of the repeal in section 28(1) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993 M1 (ways of giving effect to protected rights), and section 88 (repeals) so far as relating to it,
is 1st January 2002.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of—
(a)paragraph 14 of Schedule 2 (occupational pension schemes: certificates etc. relating to minimum funding requirement), and section 18 so far as relating to it;
(b)Part I of Schedule 13 in respect of the repeal in section 58(6)(a) of the Pensions Act 1995 M2 (schedules of contributions), and section 88 so far as relating to it,
is 1st February 2002.
(3) The day appointed for the coming into force of—
(a)paragraph 7 of Schedule 2 (mandatory payment of contributions equivalent premiums) so far as not already in force, and section 18 so far as relating to it;
(b)Part I of Schedule 13 in respect of—
(i)the repeal in section 55(2A) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993 (payment of state scheme premiums on termination of certified status),
(ii)the repeal in section 51(2A) of the Pension Schemes (Northern Ireland) Act 1993 M3 (payment of state scheme premiums on termination of certified status);
(c)Part II of Schedule 13 (pensions on divorce etc), in respect of the repeal of section 17 of the Family Law Act 1996 M4 (division of pension assets: Scotland);
(d)Part V of Schedule 13 (benefits: miscellaneous), in respect of—
(i)the repeal of paragraph 24 of Schedule 8 to the Pension Schemes Act 1993 (consequential amendment to section 3 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992),
(ii)the repeal in section 1(4) of the Jobseekers Act 1995 M5 (the jobseeker’s allowance); and
(e)section 88, so far as relating to the provisions in sub-paragraphs (b) to (d) of this paragraph,
is 6th April 2002.
