The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on him by paragraph 12(6) of Schedule 1 to the Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998(1), hereby makes the following order:
1. This order may be cited as the Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998 (Accounts and Audit) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 30th March 2001.
2. In paragraph 12 of Schedule 1 to the Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998, for sub-paragraph (5) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph:
“(5) The financial year of the Commission shall be the period of 12 months ending on 31st March; but the financial year that began on 1st January 2000 shall end on 31st March 2001.”.
3. The Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998 (Accounts and Audit) Order 2000(2) is hereby revoked.

This Order amends the Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998.
Paragraph 12(5) of Schedule 1 to that Act as amended provides that the financial year of the Parades Commission for Northern Ireland (established by section 1 of the Act) shall be the period of 12 months ending on 31st March. This order amends that paragraph to make it clear that the financial year which commenced on 1st January 2000 shall end on 31st March 2001.
The Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998 (Accounts and Audit) Order 2000 is revoked.
