The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 19 to the Finance Act 2003(1), make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Stamp Duty Land Tax (Appointment of the Implementation Date) Order 2003.
2. The date appointed as the implementation date for the purposes of stamp duty land tax is 1st December 2003.

This Order appoints 1st December 2003 as the implementation date for the purposes of stamp duty land tax, introduced by Part 4 of the Finance Act 2003.
