The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 107 of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006(1):

Citation and extent E+W

1.  This Order may be cited as the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2006 and extends to England and Wales.

Provisions coming into force on 31st May 2006 E+W

2.  The following provisions of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 come into force on 31st May 2006—

• section 47;

• section 52 and Schedule 5;

• section 53 and Schedule 6;

• sections 56 and 57;

• sections 78 and 79;

• section 80 and Schedule 7;

• sections 81 to 86.

Article 2 of this Order brings into force certain provisions of the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (c. 16) (“the Act”) on 31st May 2006.
