SCHEDULE 1Enabling Powers

These Regulations are made under the following powers—

(a)sections 7(3)(aa), 7A(3)(aa), 7C(2)(aa), 10A(5)(b), 13B, 15(2)(aa), 36(3C), 53 and 57 of, rule 57 in Schedule 1 to, and paragraphs 1(4), 2A, 2B, 3A, 5A, 8A, 10,12 and 13(1A) of Schedule 2 to, the Representation of the People Act 1983(1);

(b)having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 202(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1983, section 10A(1)(a), 10A(3), 13A(1)(a), rules 19A, 24, 28(3), 31A and 45(1B) in Schedule 1 to, and paragraph 10(2) of Schedule 2A to, that Act(2);

(c)sections 2(2)(aa) and 15(5) of the Representation of the People Act 1985(3);

(d)sections 44 and 45 of the Local Government Act 2000(4);

(e)having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 202(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 and paragraph 1(2) of Schedule 4 to the Representation of the People Act 2000(5), paragraphs 3(1)(b), (2)(c), (9) and (10), 4(1)(b), (2)(c), (4)(a) and (7), 6(7) and (8) and 7(5)(c) and (13) of that Schedule;

(f)paragraphs 7B and 7D of Schedule 4 to the Representation of the People Act 2000(6); and

(g)section 42 of the Electoral Administration Act 2006(7).
